Training Programs

At the US Supply Training Centers we offer the Universal CFC Certification Training Class and Universal CFC Certification Test. EPA regulations under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act require that technicians who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of equipment that could release refrigerants into the atmosphere must be certified. The EPA defines a "technician" as an individual who performs any of the following activities:

• Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from an appliance.
• Attaching and detaching hoses and gauges to and from an appliance to measure pressure.

The CFC certification will be good for the upcoming changes in the EPA Section 608 requirements for all other refrigerants as well, including R410a, R134a and all R22 alternative refrigerants. It is anticipated that on or around January 1st, 2018 the Section 608 program is going to be updated to include all chemical refrigerants.

This one day course includes a review of the basics of the refrigerant cycle, and components of the air conditioning and heat pump system. We provide learning session for recovery, evacuations, and charging by superheat and sub-cooling. The class will start each day at 8am and end at 4pm. The day starts with a continental breakfast to support learning. Mid-day lunch and refreshments will be supplied. This one-day class will cover proper charging methods for the different types of systems. We end the day with all attendees submitting the certification testing, and replacement. This class will start at 8am and end at 4pm. The cost of this program is $185.00 per person.
